With the first season of the European Unity League coming to a close, here’s everything you need to know about the transition into the 2026 season.

End of Season Handling - 2025

The 2025 Season concludes on September 30th, 2025.

Events from September can still be reported until October 2nd, 2025. After this deadline, the leaderboard will be locked and qualifications for Nationals will be awarded.

Qualifications - EUL Nationals 2025

On October 3rd we will send confirmation emails to all qualified players. The organizers of your EUL National Championships will send more information as soon as possible about the registration, decklist submission, location, etc.

Season 2026

The new season will start immediately in October 1st, 2025 and run until September 30th, 2026. From the player/organizer side the transition will work seamlessly; there will simply be a separate leaderboard.

League Points 2026

The 2026 Seasons will feature an improved points system. We thank everyone who shared feedback regarding the complexity and fairness of the points system.

At each event players receive the following points:

• League Points equal to the match points

• 3 League Points just for attending

There will be no bonus League Points for reaching the playoffs or similar.

2026 & European Magic Cup 2027

Between October and December 2026 there will again be EUL National Championships across Europe with teams qualifying for the European Magic Cup.

We will continue gathering feedback throughout this year and share the full qualification system by 1 January 2026.

Organizer Update – Event Fees

One change for organizers we can already confirm: Starting from October 1st 2025, EUL Regional events will cost €1 per player.

We removed the minimum fee of €25 for events with a top cut.
